PRACTICAL LITERACY COURSE ON SUPPORTING AND TEACHING DYSLEXIC CHILDREN AND ADULTS

For Parents,Teachers,Teaching Assistants and Dyslexic Adults

This practical course runs over 3 weeks and each session lasts for 2½ hours. 

 Topics covered on the course include:

1.  Dyslexia - causes, assessment, typical strengths and weaknesses
2.  Structure of English language and difficulties that ensue for dyslexic learners
3.  Structure and routines in our multisensory lessons
4.  Developing word attack strategies for reading and spelling
5.  Supporting children at home to gain maximum benefit from multisensory teaching
6. 
Relevant software and assistive technologies
7. 
Particular queries on specific topics

The course runs throughout the year.  The total cost of the course is £45. Please contact the Centre for further details and to book a place.
