The Stone Centre was founded in 1979 moving to its current premises in 1999. It currently provides tuition to 150 students of all ages.

The Centre office is open from 9am - 5pm from Monday to Friday. An answerphone facility is available outside office hours.

The Centre offers the following services:

• Psychological assessments by chartered psychologists for children and adults
• Educational assessments (by a specially trained teacher) for children and adults
• Work-based assessments for employees
• Examination Access arrangements
• Group screening for schools and colleges
• Specialist multisensory tuition in literacy and numeracy for children
• Specialist multisensory tuition in literacy for adults
• Study Skills courses for students of all ages
• Awareness sessions for educational, industrial and commercial organisations
• A range of home support packages for parents
• Free Surgeries and advice clinics
